The Hope Fund sponsors a very unique school in Western Kenya. Esabalu Village, home of the Bishop Mundia Academy of Excellence, is the epicenter of the world's most densely populated agricultural area, where one in ten children doesn't reach the age of 10.
Many of Esabalu's subsistence farmers and their children often find themselves in truly destitute situations.
The result is that many children lack any nutrition, cannot attend the local public schools due to the numerous fees associated with them, and are at serious risk of health issues and death. The Bishop Mundia Academy of Excellence exists to support the most at-risk children. We offer them free education (with no fees whatsoever), healthcare, and daily meals.
Since 2015, when we took over managing the school, the Academy has grown to care for over 150 children. Additionally, we've improved academically, rising from one of the lower-performing schools in the county to one of the top schools in Western Kenya!
It's an exciting time, and we sure could use your help! Would you consider a donation?
