The Hope Fund sponsors a very unique school in Western Kenya. Esabalu Village, home of the Bishop Mundia Academy of Excellence, is the epicenter of the world's most densely populated agricultural area. These subsistence farmers often slip into truly destitute situations and children are part of their dilemma. The result is that many children cannot attend the local public schools as there are many fees involved. The Bishop Mundia Academy of Excellence exists to assist these most destitute of children. We offer them free education (no fees whatsoever), health care and daily meals.
Since 2015, when we took over managing the school, the Academy has grown to over 150 children in our care. Additionally we've improved academically, rising from one of the lower performing schools in the county to one of the top schools in Western Kenya!
